Riot Occurs Outside of Off White at Paris Fashion Week

Kanye West collaborator Virgil Abloh showed his Off White collection at Paris Fashion week this Thursday night to a riotous crowd that was causing a crush outside the building’s entrance. WWD reports that editors sitting front row were trading horror stories about the commotion outside, including Robin Givhan being hit in the face. Givhan herself reports, “The narrow block of Rue Cambon was filled with a mob of fans, some of them pressing towards the narrow entrance to the show, others trapped in a scrum around a black sedan that had somehow gotten itself wedged amidst the throng.” Guests of the show literally had to fight their way into the building and at lest one person fainted, according to police. Inside, the collection featured rococo flourishes like brocade bomber jackets and swimsuits with sheer maxi skirts. Abloh is a talented designer but we’re not quite sure the collection was worthy of the commotion that occurred outside the show. (WWD/Washington Post)

It’s a small-but-innovative idea that sends a powerful message about Lacoste’s commitment to worthy causes. (Adweek)

Fit Naomi Campbell Graces the Cover of British GQ

Naomi Campbell and her rumoured-boyfriend, the British grime artist Skepta, trade steamy glances in a photoshoot for the cover of the April 2018 issue of British GQ. A topless Campbell poses in her underwear while Skepta gazes longingly at her, jeans unbuttoned, in one photo, while others depict the twosome embracing while topless, taking a polaroid selfie together, and what appears to be covert neck-kissing. The 47-year-old supermodel’s fans are eager to ship the relationship between the two, commenting, “Sizzler alert! My screen just combusted,” and “I’M SHOOK.” (British GQ)
